    TROUBLING BUS ACCIDENT, MULTIPLE INJURIES

Last Saturday, a local bus accident has shocked the community. At 3:49 PM, Bus 3A crashed through a local business office. Authorities have still not released the cause of the crash.

Thankfully, there were no casualties and few injuries. Only two passengers required overnight hospitalization, including a Harmony University professor Gregory House (45), and Jennifer Mallory (19), who works at a local flower shop. Both individuals were released this morning.

When asked for comment, Dr. House said, "Obviously this is an extreme accident. Thank God that we had such an intelligent driver ... whose skillful driving resulted in the small amount of injuries and lack of casualties." House also joked that, "Nobody should ever ride on a public bus."

Here at Harmony Times, we congratulate the driver, who is a hero in our eyes. The driver was...

WORST STORM IN HARMONY’S HISTORY, RESIDENTS OVERWHELMED

The storm that began last Thursday was one of the worst Harmony has ever seen, experts say. While exact snowfall is still unknown, current speculation is over five feet of sheer snowfall. Paired with the 75 MPH winds and freezing rain, conditions were treacherous.

Many residents of Harmony did not properly heed forecasts and warnings and were unprepared for the storm. Multiple citizens have been hospitalized, with conditions ranging from injuries sustained from car crashes, and complications of frost bite and hypothermia. One death from the cold has been reported, a young male college student by the name of Marcus Fischer. His family is mourning his loss at a prayer service on Friday.

Vast city wide power outages exacerbated the effects of the storm. Experts speculate that only 15% of Harmony’s citizens were properly equipped for the power outages. Many suffered from a lack of food, though many lacked proper warmth and even light. City-wide amazement at the after the wide-spread affects of the storm are generally negative.

“We should have been warned more properly of the severity of this storm system,” started Meghan Johnson, a local grocery store teller. “If people had realized the extent to which this storm would be hitting them, they would have been more prepared.”

Media sources, however, warned residents in plenty of time, Harmony Times included. Experts agree that sometimes, when weather patterns are covered too often, people lose interest in day-to-day weather reports, leaving them vulnerable when a truly dangerous storm comes through. To prevent this, we suggest…

    BLIZZARDS LIKELY, EXTRA PRECAUTIONS ADVISED

It’s true what they say—just when you think winter is over, it comes roaring back again. Meteorologists speculate that Harmony will be hit with one of the worst winter storms it’s seen this year, and caution that the storm could be much more severe than any resident is used to.

Starting February 19th, and speculated to last until February 21st, heavy snow mixed with blowing snow and freezing rain will be hitting Harmony almost nonstop. No travel is advised. It is suggested that you stock up on supplies, because snowing in is likely. High winds and low temperatures make any attempts to go outdoors ill advised. Experts suggest stockpiling food supplies, and locating thermal blankets and making sure your flashlights have batteries, as power outages are likely. If at all possible, try to keep from being alone the night of February 19th. If at all possible, try to make it to a safe place before 5:00pm when the storm is set to begin.

The affects of this storm are likely to be long lasting and ferocious. Try to keep yourself safe by staying inside.
